Samantha Root was born on May 2,1988 in South Korea. At the age of 3 months she was adopted by an American couple, Mark and Janet Root. They both raised her in a small town in Connecticut known as East Hampton. Four years after her arrival, her parents decided to adopt a baby boy named Kyle who is also from South Korea. Both she and her brother attended elementary through high school there and both graduated in the years 2007 and 2010.
After graduating high school Samantha attended Curry College for both her freshman and sophmore years; where she studied Visiual Arts. She had made many friends and although she loved the college, she transfered to Eastern Connecticut State University for her junior year where she also majored in visiual arts with a minor in digital art and design.
While growing up, Samantha's parents loved to travel. Her parents took she and her brother all over the United States. They would take family vacations during the summer when both she and her brother were off from school. Her most memorable trip was to Hawaii, where she has hopes to be able to return for another vacation someday.
In addition to her family, she owns two dogs both lhasapoos (lhasa apso/toy poodle), one being a brand new puppy.
